Timeless Style: 13 Boring Watches That Prove Plain Works

Don't let the title of this article confuse you. I am in no way berating the watches I'm about to show you. In fact, I'm a fan of most of them, with some being high up on my "want list". Give me a moment to digress. Define boring: Plain, simple, lacking innovation or creativity, safe, no-frills. In the ever changing world of fashion, sure boring is a killer. But in the restrained and often flat world of watches where change is about as abrupt and sudden as a sloth repositioning itself. Perhaps that metaphor is a bit harsh, but you get my drift. In the world of watches, style changes take time.

Which means one thing, designs become generational. I suppose many watchmakers follow the age of adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". And this is a recipe for undying success -- if the original is right. And these all are.

Here are 13 of the most boring watches out there, but 13 of the most enduring, iconic, revered and respected watches ever made.

If you think I'm missing anything in this list or you have an alternative suggestion to any of the watches below, let me know in the comment section or hit me up on Instagram.

Enjoy!
